Analog Electronic Circuits Laboratory(EC-492)

General information about the Laboratory: Analog Electronic Circuits laboratory is situated 2nd floor, room no. 312B.Geometric area of this lab is about 1250 square feet. According to present curriculum B-Tech (ECE) 4th Semester Students perform experiments on Analog Electronic Circuits Laboratory.

Course Outcomes:

CO1:Able to construct half wave, full wave and bridge rectifier circuits and regulator.

CO2:Able to design Transistor based single stage R-C coupled voltage amplifier and different classes of power amplifier circuit with given specification.

CO3:Able to construct astable, bi-stable and mono-stable mode timer circuit using IC 555.

CO4:Able to design Inverting and Non-inverting amplifier, Integrator, differentiator, Wean bridge and RC phase shift oscillator using Op-Amp.

Name of the experiments performed

  1. Study of voltage regulator circuit using zener diode.
  2. Design of RC coupled amplifier & study of it’s gain & Bandwidth using BJT.
  3. Design of RC Phase shift oscillator using BJT.
  4. Study of class B power amplifiers.
  5. Design of differential amplifier circuit using BJT.
  6. Study of Integrator and Differentiator using OPAMP IC 741
  7. Design of low pass and high pass active filter using OPAMP and study of its frequency response.
  8. Study of timer circuit using NE555 & configuration for monostable & astable multivibrator.
  9. Study of voltage controlled oscillator.

Name of the innovative experiments

  1. Design a simple function generator using IC.
  2. Design of Pulse wave generator circuit.
  3. Design of DC power supply.

Facility available in the laboratory

In this laboratory there are eight numbers of working benches, so that the students can work comfortably. Each of the benches are fully equipped with:

  • Function generator(4MHz,30Vp-p)
  • Power supply 2- channel(0-30V), 3A with maximum current control facility,1 channel fixed 5V, 3A
  • Cathode Ray oscilloscope 2-Channel, 30MHz
  • Measuring instruments like advanced digital multimeter, LCR meter etc.
  • Facilities of soldering and disordering, and other testing equipments like DSO, Power meter etc are there which are mainly used for project and some innovativeexperiments.

  • Digital Storage Oscilloscope (100 MHz)
