Course Outcomes:

CO1: Analyze the effect in terms of power efficiency and modulation index of DSB-WC, DSB-SC, SSB modulation techniques.

CO2: Evaluate the performance in terms of BW of the demodulated signals.

CO3: Compare the power and bandwidth efficiency of FM signal.

CO4: Design the PLL using VCO to measure the capture and locking range.

CO5: Measure selectivity, sensitivity and fidelity of a superhetrodyne receiver.

CO6: Compare modulation and demodulation of PAM, PWM technique.

Name of the experiments performed

  1. Measurement of modulation index of an AM signal.
  2. Measurement of output power with varying modulation index an AM signal (for both DSB- & SSB).
  3. Measurement of distortion of the demodulated output with varying modulation index of an AM signal (for both DSB-SC & SSB).
  4. Measurement of power of different frequency components of a frequency modulated signal & the measurement of the bandwidth.
  5. Design a PLL using VCO & to measure the lock frequency.
  6. Design a FM demodulator using PLL.
