Basic Electronics Lab

Basic Electronics Engineering Laboratory(EC191/EC291)

General information about the Laboratory

This is a first level laboratory in which students are introduced with Electronics & Communication Engineering for the first time and are trained with preliminary of Electronics. This Lab is used in odd (1st) and even (2nd) both the semesters. Students of ECE,EE,AEIE and CSE,IT,ME,CE departments are using this lab in 2nd and 1st semesters respectively. Approximate area of the lab is 3000 Sq.ft which is located in 2nd floor, room no.310A. Average no of student per session are 300.More than eight setup are available. No of students per setup are in general four.

Before starting of the laboratory the students are instructed with necessary safety and precautionary measures that has to be adopted in any electrical laboratory. 2. Well designed laboratory manual / instruction sheets are provided to students at the beginning of the session for a particular lab. 3. Laboratory is maintained and conducted by well trained technical supporting staff under the supervision of the faculty members. 4. Most of the technical staffs have undergone first aid and fire fighting training.

Course Outcomes:

CO1: Identify passive and active electronic components such as Resistors, Capacitors, Diodes, Transistors etc.

CO2: Demonstrate measuring and testing equipment like DC power supply, Multimeter, C.R.O, Signal generators etc

CO3: Illustrate characteristics of Diodes, BJTs, CB, CE and CC mode transistors, Field Effect Transistors, OPAMPs, Logic Gates and Boolean functions

CO4: Determine OPAMPs parameters, regulation & ripple factor of half & fullwave rectifiers.

CO5: Design OPAMP circuits Inverting and Non-inverting amplifiers, Adders, Integrators and Differentiators,Boolean functions using Logic Gates.
