Digital Electronics Circuit Laboratory(EC-493)

General information about the Laboratory: This lab is used for 2nd year of Electrical, EIE and IT Students in Odd semester and in Even Semester is used for 2nd year ECE students. Approximate area of this Lab is 2000 Sq.ft and its location at 2nd floor.room no-312 A.Total no of students in each Lab are 30 (approx) students and no of student performing for each setup are 4 where total setup are eight nos.

Course Outcome:

CO1:Construct circuit using digital IC to verify functionality of Basic Gates.

CO2:Analyze of universal gate and different digital with the help of De-Morgan’s law and Boolean algebra method.

CO3:Understand combinational circuits- decoder,multiplexer,comparator and sequential circuit-Flip Flop,counter using logic gate and combination system.

CO4:Understand different digital circuits using different logic I.C ,L.E.D ,registor and seven segment display.

Name of the Experiment Performed:

  1. Realization of basic gates using Universal logic gates.
  2. Realization of logic gates using TTL.
  3. Design the circuit of Grey to Binary and vice versa.
  4. Design a circuit for BCD to 7-segment display.
  5. Four-bit parity generator and comparator circuits.
  6. Construction of simple Encoder & Decoder circuits using logic gates.
  7. Construction of simple Multiplexer & De Multiplexer circuits using logic gates.
  8. Design of Half Adder & Full Adder Circuit using Logic Gates.
  9. Design Half Subtractor & Full Subtractor Circuit using Logic Gates.
  10. Realization of RS,D, JK and T flip-flops using logic gates.
  11. Realization of Register using flip-flops and logic gates.
  12. Realization of Up/Down counters.

Innovative Experiments:

  1. One innovative experiment of digital circuit.

Facility Available in the Laboratory:

  • Function Generator. 1 MHZ.
  • Power Supply.( 0 ---30V, +12 –0 -- -12v. +5volt).
  • Multimeter. (0 ---20M ohm, 0-1000 DC Volt, 0--700A.C volt, 20micro 10 Amp. )
  • IC Tester (Digital and Linear)
