Narula Institute of Technology is an Autonomous Institute affiliated with MAKAUT, WB, with its technical courses approved by AICTE. The Institute has received prestigious NIRF Innovation rankings in 2023 and NIRF rankings from MHRD, Govt of India, spanning from 2017 to 2022, for 6 consecutive years. It holds NBA-accredited degree programs in Engineering. B.Tech, M.Tech, BBA, BBA(HM), and BCA-MCA programs are affiliated with MAKAUT, WB, while diploma programs are affiliated under the WBSCT&VE&SD (Technical Education Division). Additionally, it boasts the prestigious NAAC ‘A’ accreditation. The Institute was deemed worthy of receiving the notable World Bank-assisted and MHRD-approved TEQIP (phase 2) grant for the advancement of Technical education. It has also been deemed eligible for receiving central assistance under-recognition of clauses 2(f) and 12(b) under the UGC Act. Narula Institute of Technology has been selected as the Mentor Institute under the scheme Mentor-Mentee Programme for IIC Institutions 2023-24, MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC), AICTE with funding. The IIC- Narula Institute of Technology is awarded a 3.5-star rating in the IIC academic calendar 2022-23 by MoE’s Innovation Council and serves as the mentor of five different Institutions, namely Heritage Institute of Technology, MCKV Institute of Engineering, Ramnagar College, Global Institute of Science & Technology, and Patna Sahib Technical College-Bihar.
The Institute takes immense pride in its robust Research and Development cell, which benefits greatly from the contributions of esteemed scholarly faculty members. With a repository of International and National Journals, E-Book collections, and a plethora of online lectures, the Institute stands out as a focal point of national attention. The conducive atmosphere of the Institute nurtures and facilitates various research projects, with ten such projects currently underway under the guidance and mentorship of faculty members, funded by esteemed organizations such as UGC, DAE-BRNS, ISRO, AICTE, among others. Further enhancing its research capabilities, the Institute houses two Center of Excellence Labs: The JIS Bosch-Rexroth Centre of Excellence for Fluid Power Control System Lab and the Blue Star "Centre of Excellence" - an Industry Sponsored Lab. Additionally, the Institute boasts two highly advanced Language Laboratories, established with guidance and installation support from ORELL and ISILS (IIT-KGP).
The Institute has forged collaborations with corporate entities such as Tech Mahindra, Reliance JIO Infocom, CII, BCCI, ASSOCHAM, NASSCOM, Oracle, INFOSYS, and TCS, as well as esteemed academic institutions like NIT Sikkim, IIT-KGP, AIT Bangkok, and others. Students benefit from exposure to the latest technological and managerial innovations through numerous seminars, conferences, industry visits, workshops, and field training programs organized by the Institute regularly. Apart from academics, students get exposure to various co-curricular activities which strike the exact balance between work-play and teach them valuable lessons about the necessity and utilization of leisure. This Institute guides in nurturing not only individuals who would make a lasting effect in their professional fields but also develop as a complete, wholesome human being. The students have shown a diverse range of interest both within and outside their field of study, art and culture and also compassion and fellow-feeling by participating in acts of charitable drives, memorials and mass-support rallies organized by the Institute.
Apart from winning laurels for the Institute in technical and scientific fields, the students have excelled in art and culture as well. There is a thriving community of photographers, painters, poets, musicians, film-makers, food critics and movie critics in the student body. Our students regularly win awards at inter-college meets, sports meets etc.
The Institute boasts of a ragging-free campus and students are encouraged to show no tolerance for ragging. The campus also houses a Women’s Cell which specializes in prioritizing safety of female students and staff throughout the campus and is active in cultural, infrastructural and functional levels of the Institute’s hierarchy.

The faculties constantly endeavour for up gradation through refresher courses, special courses and online courses. Our endeavor is to provide maximum possible number of campus interview opportunities to the students with equal emphasis on IT and Core engineering placement and prolonged placement support even after graduation and we have been successful in this mission from our very 1st batch.
